Tuacahn Amphitheatre and Centre for the Arts is a distinctive outdoor venue nestled in the stunning red rock landscape of southern Utah, near Zion National Park. This remarkable theater transforms the natural canyon walls into a breathtaking backdrop for Broadway-caliber musicals, concerts, and specialty performances. The amphitheater has earned recognition for its ambitious productions that blend professional theater with the raw beauty of the Utah desert, hosting everything from beloved musicals to country and rock concerts.
What sets Tuacahn apart is its extraordinary natural setting that becomes part of every performance. The towering sandstone cliffs create both a visual spectacle and remarkable acoustics, while the open-air design allows desert breezes to flow through the audience. Evening performances are particularly magical as the canyon walls glow with changing light, and audiences often spot wildlife moving across the distant ridges. The venue's technical capabilities are impressive, with productions featuring elaborate sets, pyrotechnics, and special effects that complement rather than compete with the natural drama surrounding them.
Located in the small community of Ivins, just outside St. George, Tuacahn sits in a protected canyon that feels worlds away from urban life. The drive to the venue winds through desert landscape dotted with red rock formations, building anticipation for the unique theatrical experience ahead. The remote location adds to the sense of adventure, making each visit feel like a special pilgrimage to witness art in one of nature's most spectacular venues.

Saw the Symphonic Rockshow here. And the concert was outstanding! The amphitheater was great. The sound system and lighting effects were awesome. The staff was friendly and very helpful with seating people. And the restrooms were very clean.
An amazing outdoor venue for shows. Great diversity of offerings throughout the year. Favorite so far has been wizard of Oz...that seemed to have a whirlwind on stage on cue !
Beautiful setting but hard to appreciate it when our show didn't start until it got dark. Seats were comfortable but for a total person, it's a bit tight. We went on a very cold night and the wind was blowing. Dress warm and bring good blankets. We left at intermission unfortunately.
Their production of Newsies was absolutely amazing. The quality of the sets was spectacular, and the talent gathered was just as good. What a great evening! I will definitely be back!
I love Tuachan! I'm always entertained and enjoy my time there. Even in the off seasons, it's an amazing place to explore and take pictures. It's very well maintained and absolutely gorgeous.
