This was my first time seeing a performance at the Lyceum. We saw Oh Mary! The theatre is obviously quite old, however it's in great condition. It's intimate, I don't think it seats a lot of people. We sat in row G on the left side, 3rd and 4th seat from the end. The seats were excellent. We were close and had a nice view. The theatre decor is fairly dark and ornate, it had a nice old NY feel.
Perfect theatre to watch Jinx Monsoon star in “Oh, Mary!” (What a perfect play, Cole!) The theatre has a beautiful old world glamour, is well kept and comfortable seats. Theatre staff were excellent; thank you for this unforgettable experience guys.
Oh Jinkxy! Go see Oh Mary! While it’s Monsoon season! This tremendous individuals talents know no bounds! Cole Escola must be soo proud! Can’t wait to see this indomitable performer grab her next role by the “Oh Mary!”s. This intimate theatre is the perfect space for a cosy experience with great art. Go visit, what Evers on!
The Lyceum Theatre is one of those rare Broadway houses that still feels truly Broadway—historic, intimate, and dripping with old-world charm. You walk in and immediately feel the weight of theatrical history in the best way possible: the ornate ceiling, the plush red velvet, the tightly packed boxes peering down like watchful ghosts of performances past. It’s the kind of venue that makes you sit up a little straighter and remember that theater is a sacred craft. I came to see Oh, Mary!, and the show was spectacular—sharp, funny, and a little unhinged in all the right ways—but the Lyceum itself elevated the whole thing. The acoustics are excellent, even from the mezzanine, and the sightlines are surprisingly generous for a theater of this vintage. You’re close enough to catch every facial twitch, but far enough to take in the full stage picture. The staff keeps things running smoothly and with just enough old-school polish to make the experience feel special without being stuffy. Bathrooms are small (as expected in a venue this old), but managed well. If you’re looking to experience Broadway the way it was meant to be—before everything got too polished or too theme-park—seeing a show at the Lyceum is a must. Five stars, all the way.
All the seats are good in the Lyceum Theater. Enjoyed Oh, Mary on 8/11 to a packed house! The performance was awesome, sound has great and with the stacked seating, even UP-DOs didn't pose a viewing problem..LOL!! 🤣 even though I think theater goers should think about those beehives & hi-ponies..HAHAHAHA!!
