The venue's thoughtful design puts the focus squarely on the artistry unfolding on stage.
Located in the heart of the Theater District, the Al Hirschfeld Theatre sits among the bright lights and bustling energy that make this neighborhood the epicenter of American theater. I recently saw the Moulin Rouge musical and it was absolutely fabulous! The theatre's interior was stunning, full of charm and vibrant details that set the perfect mood. The atmosphere was electric from start to finish, and the show itself was spectacular - amazing performances, music, and energy. An unforgettable experience I'd highly recommend!
Great theater to enjoy broadway plays. We went to see Moulin Rouge while in Manhattan and loved it. I suggest you get the skip the line tickets as there was a very long line if you didn't. Our seats (W 103 and 104) were great. The cocktails were good and prices were reasonable. We had an issue with other patrons in the theater but the manager managed it very well giving us even better seats (K 103 K 104) . I applaud how well the management handled the situation being I am a member of the National Press Club of Washington DC. Will definitely come back again.
As of the summer of 2025, this place still hosts the Moulin Rouge Broadway show. The theater itself is mid size for New York. Sounds were clear and the place felt intimate. My only gripe here is the lack of bathrooms. Lines were way too long during intermission. So, I suggest you empty your bladder before starting the shows!
Fantastic show. One of the best and longest running musical. The theatre is nice. The seats are a bit over packed but good part is close proximity to the set wherever you are seated. Highly Recommended!
Seeing my first Broadway show was a dream come true. Even before it began, the cast was already on stage, and the red-lit set had my heart racing with excitement. The moment the show started, I was in tears. Not because it was a sad scene, but because the singing and performances were so powerful and moving. I was completely captivated until the final curtain fell. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!
