Love the updates. Saw Million Dollar Quartet and it couldn't have been better!! People were incredibly helpful in several ways. However, I can't recommend sitting in the second row if Box A or B. My husband's view was fine but mine was mostly the back of a lady with big curly hair. Glad it was a musical! Also, the seats are not theater seats.
We went to see Million Dollar Quartet at the Walnut Street Theatre, and it was an unforgettable night! My wife had purchased our tickets through TickPick, but when we arrived, we realized there were no barcodes on them. The staff at the box office couldn’t have been kinder or more patient—they took the time to help us sort it out and ultimately just comped our seats. One of the box office gentlemen told us to come back if we couldn’t see, but the joke was on us—he had given us front-row seats! The show itself was fantastic. The live musician-actors were absolutely electric, performing just a few feet in front of us. The music, energy, and storytelling were all top-notch. We loved every minute and left grinning ear to ear. Huge thanks to the Walnut Street Theatre staff for turning what could have been a stressful moment into an incredible experience. We’ll definitely be back!
My first time to see the show. The building is over 200 years old. Lots of history of actors and singers. Small theater so no need to sit up front. I saw it from the last row and can see and hear the show just find.
This is my favorite theater ever!! If I ever win the lottery I would donate so much money here! The work they do is so amazing and entertaining. The costumes, set design, music, staff, lightingn stories, and litteraly everything else is perfect. I've seen so many shows here and have always left with a great time. Its also such a cool piece of history to be in America's oldest theater able still be able to see things here. 100% recommend for all ages! I've put so many people on to this theater because its so amazing and quite well priced.
After living here in Philly area my entire life , I finally had my first experience and saw my first show at The Walnut Street Theatre. I am really impressed. I hope to see more shows and events here in the future. So far this year this is my 12th show between other venues in Philly and New York City. This theatre itself is a standout amongst others I have recently been in. First the atmosphere is second to none. I love(d) seeing all the past posters/ads from all the shows performed here over its history , as well as pictures of past performers and famous actors who stared here at The Walnut Street Theatre. The Auditorium isn’t too big , so you honestly have a great seat/view from anywhere! I had the last row in Mezzanine and could see the stage perfectly. ( we were allowed to move down since show wasn’t full . But decided to just move down a few more rows ). Drinks/Snack bar was not as expensive as NYC or the Academy of Music ( huge rip off there ). Leg Room was great , at 6 foot I didn’t feel cramped. There are storage lockers upstairs for coat check ( if needed in future ) which is amazing. Bathrooms were clean. Overall, this rivals many theaters in NYC ( most don’t love ) Go see a show and support local theatre! I can’t wait to go back and sad I didn’t come here in person sooner.
