A wonderful show last night! What a great way to end the 2025 season for the Shakespeare festival. I saw Into the Woods; everyone that performed was absolutely phenomenal. You must get a chance to go before the show sells out this year.
Marvelous production of "The Merry Wives of Windsor". The Allen is a beautiful outdoor venue but be aware...if you can't sit in the rain, don't get tickets in rows AA through J.
The theatre itself - incredible. The outdoor experience is so unique, but they keep all the creature comforts that you would expect from a normal indoor theatre: Lighting and Sound does not suffer from being partially outdoors. I would recommend either getting balcony seats as to ensure you won't get wet or bringing rain gear if there is any chance of rain. The show we saw - even better. The people involved in these productions are truly talented on a level that even surpasses Broadway (so my sister claimed).
Only wish I would have brought a blanket. Parking was difficult, so come early. The production was fantastic and the venue space extraordinary.
A major bucket list adventure ... outdoor play in Ashland Oregon under the stars. Have seen dozens of plays over the years, never a disappointment. The stage, actors, directors, audio, lighting are amazing. There are 3 other indoor theaters as well. All are a real joy.
