Great show for excellent bands, great way to spend evening with a beautiful lady which I had by my side. Fozzys 25 year anniversary, Liliac, and two other bands rocked the notes. The apollo is a nice comfortable place to see music. Nice bar and go back into town to see some more
Great place to see bands, not real big but it makes it feel more intimate and family like. The sound is impressive, and the architecture of the building is a sight to see. Will absolutely be returning to see more bands.
Since the remodeling, the center is much more tasteful and modernized. A good venue for bands, even commercial bands to perform. There is a bar on the south side of the building with its own entrance/exit doors separate of the main entrance. Free parking located across the street in a formal lot and then even more parking space in an informal lot East of the the formal one. The band/performers park their bus or vans in the lot West of the building next to the gated smoking area through the West side exit doors. There can also be private parties scheduled there too like birthday parties and Quincietas. Restrooms are available and for larger events, security. Please don't bring any weapons or illegal substances and check for tickets to any events through the Apollo activity center's website.Located off of State Street, downtown Belvidere, IL next to the Kishwaukee River.
Used to be a fantastic place to see great live bands! Not any more, unless you like being ignored until an overzealous security guard wants to give you a full pat down and frisk-being made to “face the wall” like some kind of criminal. I would expect this in a big city-not Belvedere, Illinois. Sorry guys, you’ve failed in creating a good atmosphere within the first two seconds of entering your establishment.
The Apollo Theatre is a historic gem in downtown Rockford, hosting everything from indie bands to comedy shows. I saw a folk concert here, and the acoustics were fantastic—intimate yet powerful. The vintage decor adds charm, and the staff is friendly and efficient. Tickets are reasonably priced, and the venue is small enough that there’s no bad seat. They also have a full bar with decent drink specials. If you love live music in an authentic, non-corporate setting, the Apollo is a must-visit.
