Historic venue with personable, old school service and decor. Comfy seats with legroom. Classic art details from the Victorian setting. Intimate space with solid acoustics. Really enjoyed the volunteers and staff. Authentic to the max. The double pour of the red at the upstairs bar was well worth the dough. Can’t wait to see a show here again. The parking situation is nuts. I parked ten minutes away by a house on a Sunday night where the M-F permit didn’t apply. Could have been worse.
Tarrytown Music Hall is my favorite go-to place to listen to master musicians still in their prime after a very long and successful career, and who excel at playing solo. Last year I enjoyed listening to Rick Wakeman, this time Tommy Emmanuel (third time, better each time). The theater is relatively compact in size; it offers surprisingly good acoustic, even at last top row where I was sitting. The historic setting feels like an extended living room from a different era, offering an intimate connection with the artist, which makes the evening even more special. The light show was beautiful and perfectly synchronized with the music, a joy for both ears and eyes. The small size of the theater also makes it easy to get in and find the seat, and to leave after the concert. Right next to the Hall there are plenty of excellent restaurants of all cuisines and price ranges. A perfect place to celebrate great artists and evenings to remember for life.
Nice old Victorian music venue. It's in the process of renovation but very nice and Carl Palmer rocked the place! Bathrooms are a bit small but I believe that will be addressed. Highly recommended.
I recently had an absolute blast at Tarrytown Music Hall for their showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, it was an unforgettable night! From the moment the iconic theme music started playing, the energy in the theater was electric. The venue itself is a charming blend of classic and modern, with its vintage decor creating the perfect atmosphere for this cult classic. It felt like stepping into a time machine. The crowd was enthusiastic, with everyone dressed up in their best costumes—there were plenty of sequins, fishnets, and, of course, lots of fabulous makeup. The audience participation is what makes Rocky Horror so special, and this crowd did not disappoint. The live shadow cast was fantastic! They brought the characters to life in a way that added an extra layer of hilarity and excitement to the film. Their energy was contagious, and I found myself laughing and dancing along with everyone. And let’s not forget the iconic scene with the props! It was so much fun to join in with the audience for the toast, the rice throwing, and all the other classic moments that make this show such a blast. If you’ve never experienced it before. Overall, Tarrytown Music Hall is the perfect venue for a night of Rocky Horror madness. The combination of the beautiful theater, the enthusiastic crowd, and the lively performance made for a night to remember.
It was my first time attending a show at Tarrytown Music Hall, and I love the classic, historical look and feel of the venue. The sound and lighting was incredible, the venue was comfortable, I was very impressed! We will certainly be going back.
