Buffalo State Performing Arts Center serves as a dynamic cultural hub within Buffalo State University, presenting an eclectic mix of performances that span classical concerts, theatrical productions, jazz showcases, and dance performances. This versatile venue has established itself as an important gathering place for both the campus community and Buffalo's broader arts scene, regularly hosting everything from Celtic music traditions to contemporary pop and rock acts, alongside family-friendly programming that makes the arts accessible to audiences of all ages.
The center creates an intimate yet professional atmosphere where audiences can experience performances up close, fostering a sense of connection between artists and attendees that larger venues often lack. The acoustic design supports the venue's diverse programming, adapting well to the nuanced requirements of chamber music, the projected vocals of musical theater, and the rhythmic complexities of jazz ensembles. The welcoming environment encourages both seasoned arts enthusiasts and newcomers to explore different genres in a comfortable academic setting.
Located on the Buffalo State campus, the performing arts center benefits from its position within this vibrant educational community while remaining easily accessible to the greater Buffalo area. The university setting provides convenient parking and creates a unique pre-show atmosphere where the energy of student life mingles with the anticipation of an evening's entertainment. The surrounding campus offers a pleasant environment for a pre-performance stroll or post-show discussion.

It's a good size for concerts and shows; every seat has a good view. Acoustics are great. There are more restrooms on the ground level that no one else seemed to know about; there were no lines!
I was here to see Brian Regan. Who was absolutely hilarious. This is a great venue for comedians. Its big but still intimate to interact with the audience. Love it!
