Blue Note Jazz Club - New York

Finally visited Blue Note and it felt like a lifetime achievement. It’s always meaningful visiting a jazz club with a historical relevance. Given it’s a jazz club, the space was compact. The drinks were better than expected and I would recommend the Tokyo Twist. The ticket instructions indicated the door opens at 6, but they didn’t seat us until 6:30, which was a bit strange. Regardless, it feels amazing seeing one of your favorite artists in a place none other than Blue Note. Overall, it was a memorable experience.

The best night of my life!!!! I will never forget the evening of Sep 25th 2025. Thank you for Charlie Puth for choosing this venue. Genius. Staff, Ambiance, Food 10 out of 10. Yes the seating is very tight but when the music starts, you forget and appreciate being so close to your all time favorite artist ever !! 🥰

Beyond nightly shows, the club also offers special events, late-night sessions, and even Sunday brunches with live jazz. Whether you’re a lifelong jazz fan or just discovering the genre, an evening at Blue Note New York is an essential New York City experience.

My partner and I visited for the Wyclef performance. While the show itself was absolutely incredible — a true 10/10 — the dining experience left room for improvement. Most of the prime tables were reserved for Wyclef’s friends and family, leaving the general audience with less desirable seating. On top of that, another party of four was seated at our table, which felt far from intimate, though fortunately they were friendly and we enjoyed their company. The restroom was surprisingly cramped given the size of the venue. As for the food and drinks, they did not meet expectations. My partner ordered the chicken and shrimp Alfredo, which lacked seasoning and flavor. I would recommend sticking to a simpler menu option, such as a burger, and keeping drinks basic as well. On a positive note, our waitress was very kind and attentive, which I truly appreciated. Overall, while the concert itself was phenomenal, the restaurant side of the experience could use some refinement.

I had always dreamed of experiencing live jazz in New York — and here’s a club that’s been hosting these nights for almost 50 years. But don’t expect a Great Gatsby vibe. The crowd is casual — T-shirts, sportswear, no dress code. The seating is tight, and the servers are quick and efficient, balancing order-taking and payments with practiced speed — they aim to maximize turnover since there are two shows that evening. The band was on fire. A great mix of instruments and a fun, engaging group. The one-hour set flew by in what felt like minutes. As for the food — not really worth mentioning. Classic American hits just to have a bite while you listen. A real slice of NYC jazz — not glamorous, but full of energy and heart.
