Finish dinner 30+ minutes before showtime. Most restaurants offer pre-theater menus.
Highly recommended, especially for evening performances. Book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Most listed restaurants are within 5-10 minutes walk. Factor in extra time during busy hours.

Skip the very expensive bar! Pregame at a local bar. Have better service and pay one quarter the price. But as to the venue itself, it was very nice. I was sitting in the second row so I can't state how the seats were farther back. I want be to see physicist Dr. Brian Cox and it was an excellent experience. So I can't talk as how sonically the venue is. During intermission, the lines for the bathroom were quite long but it did move pretty fast. But that's pretty standard with any Broadway type theater in New York City. The lines also moved fairly quickly to get into the venue. This even though there aren't as many doors as I would have thought.
Get here EARLY! Only one metal detector for a sold out show is absurd. Waited in line for over 30 minutes and it still stretched to the end of the block. Drinks are also VERY expensive inside $6 for a small off beerbeerbottle of Poland spring water. $15 for a 12 ozeer.
Every time I come to an event here I’m impressed. We just saw Judy Collins & friends 85 birthday bash last night. But this review is about the venue. It’s a historic building with a long history of hosting some of music’s greatest legends. The sound was great. We sat in Orchestra row “M” towards the center. Not so close you strain your neck, just right to take in the whole stage & you are close enough to clearly read the expressions of the performers. The seats are comfortable enough for a few hours but I wouldn’t have them in my living room 😆 The bathrooms were clean & crowded. The staff attentive & helpful. The facility looks clean & well cared for. The water was sparkling & the wine intoxicating. What more could you ask for? I look forward to my next Town Hall event.
I had the chance to see the play "Konotopska Vidma" at The Town Hall, and I have to say, it was a truly memorable experience, despite some discomfort. The Town Hall itself is a wonderful venue. It has a special atmosphere that's perfect for theatrical performances. However, I have to note that the chairs in the auditorium were quite uncomfortable. Sitting on them for an extended period during the play was a bit distracting from fully enjoying the actors' performances. I hope the theater management takes this into consideration, as audience comfort is a very important aspect. Despite this, the acoustics were excellent, which allowed me to completely immerse myself in the events on stage. As for "Konotopska Vidma," it was an incredibly vibrant and energetic production. The actors were simply amazing! Their acting, emotional depth, and charisma created a very lively and captivating picture. The performances of the main characters were particularly impressive – their portrayals were clearly defined and very convincing. The plot of "Konotopska Vidma" is, of course, a classic of Ukrainian literature, but this interpretation felt fresh and interesting. The directing deserves special praise for how successfully it blended humor, mysticism, and folklore elements. The sets and costumes were also very fitting, complementing the overall atmosphere and helping the audience fully dive into the world of the play. "Konotopska Vidma" at The Town Hall is a true delight for the soul, offering both laughter and contemplation. I wholeheartedly recommend this play to anyone who wants to have an unforgettable theatrical experience and enjoy Ukrainian art at a high level. Despite the minor discomfort with the chairs, the overall impression of the production and the theater's atmosphere remained very positive. I'll definitely visit this theater again to discover new productions.
Good theater, all seat have a good view. The theater is old, so the seats are small and there is no leg room
