Very friendly staff, easy security and you can carry small non clear purses. Seats were comfortable and the art deco design all over the inside of the building is beautiful.
I've seen some good shows here like Lion King and The Wiz. It's got good sound and there is plenty of seating. The snacks and drinks of course are expensive but that's typical of anywhere you go now. Really it just needs to be updated because it is rather old and has some noticeable needed repairs.
We came here for The Lion King Broadway touring musical. It was phenomenal! Brought me to tears. The voices and costumes made this worth every penny. We will be back for Wicked next year!
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds were great! If its a sold out show the lines for drinks can bet very long. The art deco is very nice. They ring the bells I believe 20 mins or so before the show starts!
Been coming to the music hall for over 25 years, it is my favorite place in KC to see a show!
