We recently attended a work event at The August Hall in San Francisco, where they rented out the entire venue, and it was fantastic. The place features a live band and multiple levels of entertainment—at least three floors of fun. There’s a spacious dance floor and a roomy balcony overlooking the band, providing a great view. Downstairs, there’s a fun area with ten-pin bowling, arcade games, and a bar, plus you can watch the band on big TV screens from there as well. Overall, it’s a super fun venue with something for everyone and highly recommended for a great night out!
Fantastic venue in the heart of SF! The sound is usually fantastic there, and the staff are super nice!
I went to see a concert there. While the show itself was phenomenal, the venue should have done a better job with providing security to the people on the dance floor. This venue doesn’t enforce the ban of indoor smoking and public nudity/ dress code. Both are unacceptable. Or at least such private venue policy should be advised before one decides to purchase the tickets.
My family and I recently saw a show at August Hall, and we were incredibly impressed with this venue, especially their outstanding commitment to accessibility. My positive experience began weeks before the show when I reached out to inquire about accessibility accommodations. Seeing the show listed as GA, standing room, initially worried me, but Melissa from the box office was incredibly helpful via email, arranging for accommodated seating. Upon arrival, the wonderful service continued. Despite a slight mix-up with our group size for the reserved seating, the staff quickly and happily resolved it. They then escorted us to our seats, providing a helpful rundown of the venue's layout. Throughout the night, staff even checked in on us, ensuring we were enjoying ourselves. As someone new to mobility issues and still learning to ask for help, this kindness and caring was not only appreciated but deeply meaningful. Beyond the excellent service, August Hall is a fantastic place to see a show. The band sounded great, and the line of sight was excellent – even from our designated side seating, I had a clear view of the stage despite the packed floor. The balcony also offered great views. Bar service was quick and friendly, with reasonable prices for a venue of this type. And yes, even the bathrooms were remarkably clean for a music club! I would happily return to August Hall anytime for another show and am genuinely grateful to everyone there for making it possible for my family and I to have such a great evening together.
