We went here to see Frank Black in January. Beautiful building, very well decorated. Spacious. Nice bar in the back. Very good sound and view of the stage. Excellent experience.
Here for a listening experience with NPRs "Spooked" so not much to overwhelm the senses but the sound system was decent enough. Orpheum is a classic. One of the oldest theatres in DTLA. Although restored she's a little dingier and darker than say... The Pantages in Hollywood. The decor is is ornate but very Victorian. Biggest downside is leg room. Either people were smaller, shorter or didn't expect much comfort and room so don't expect to cross your legs. Even moving your knees is super tight and I'm average 5'8" height. It was built for the era but otherwise a classic experience.
Such a beautifully restored precious piece of history in Los Angeles, offering a wide range of entertainment. On this night, we were lucky enough to see Louis Black, world, famous comedian on his last tour. I believe that he chose orphan because if it’s opulence, yet the ticket pricewas not unreasonable and the show was amazing! Highly recommend!
Saw Ben Haper at The Orpheum! It was a beautiful venue. Easy to get around, seats were comfy and they have an elevator (plus for accessibility). Every seat is a good seat here!
The Orpheum theater was in much better condition than I had feared. It’s an old movie house from about 100 years ago. The architecture, fixtures, and furnishings are fascinating-most things are original or very good replicas. I can’t tell you much about the sound of the sidelines, since we were on the side of the fourth row from the front.
