Highly recommended, especially for evening performances. Book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Most listed restaurants are within 5-10 minutes walk. Factor in extra time during busy hours.

A nice theater! Love how parking is so close and they offer lotteries and discounted tickets here! Makes me come back more and more since I know how nice and easy things will be here. The staff is always helpful and theater is a good size so really wherever you sit is good. Even from the balcony you can still see everything perfectly. The outside area is also very beautiful and nice to roam around while waiting for a show. Love how they always have little photo ops for the shows at the theater as well!
Random day we didn’t know what to do… I didn’t know what to do, then saw “& Juliet Broadway” an hour before it started @ the Ahmanson Theater, it was across the street from home with no tickets available for sale we walked to test our luck and glad we did… ended up getting 🍀 with amazing seats and amazing discount at the box office. Amazing show & performance my daughter loves dancing and signing had to take her see others live their dreams. Thank you! ❤️😆
Nice theater, very clean. Lots of helpful staff. Balcony seating may trigger people who fear heights because it looks very steep even when you're sitting down. My only complaint is that people were allowed to enter the theater long after the show had started. This used to be a huge no-no years ago because it can be extremely disruptive to both the audience and the actors.
I saw Parade recently and what an incredible show. I am very grateful to the folks at the Ahmanson theater and TodayTix for giving me the opportunity to see it with my daughter in front orchestra seats. We had AA 13 and 14 and the views were very nice. The line of sight was pretty good. Sometimes those front rows are the worse if the stage is too high but these seats at the ahmanson were good (pictures are the views from our seats). I have been to this theater multiple times and always have a good experience. Parking is $10 cash and not $30 or $50 or more at some other theaters. Their web page give you directions on how to enter their parking lot and it update you if there are closures of the roads around the theater. Please always check the website the day of the show. They also emailed you if you purchased a ticket with your email address about nearby closures, but its good to check the website the day of the show. I have seated in the balcony and the mezzanine and the voice quality isn't bad. However to experience live theater, one should be able to see it from an orchestra seat. I used to go onto their website and utilize their ticket Tues for discount shows, Now I use the TodayTix app. It has become my favorite app for most broadway musicals. After the show and heading back to your car, do not go towards the escalator lines like everyone. Look across the way for the person carrying a flashlight or waving a lighted stick pointing to a staircase. Go down those set of stairs and it should put you down to level one... walk across to the escalator and enter the line from there... you have bypass at least 500 other people who are still waiting upstairs. Everyone working at the theater is very kind. I can remember the first time we were there, I was a bit lost. I tried to enter through the wrong door. The attendant at that door walked me to the stairs leading to the correct door (it was on a different floor). The women's bathroom lines can be long during intermission but it goes quickly. These bathroom are clean and has everything even at the end of the night. This facility is well cared for and nicely maintained thanks to the kind and hardworking staff.
gorgeous theater with helpful ushers and staff members. the restrooms were clean and not crowded, the area outside was nice to sit at/walk around during intermission, and the parking was efficient.
