This place is amazing. I doubt I'm going to be able to make it back to do a tour before I leave the city, but if you get a chance I would recommend doing it. Everything that you've heard about how magical this place is is true. It might even be better than you heard!
This is the type of place where I feel like I'm just lucky to even experience an event here. The theaters itself presents quite the mix of sensations, from entering the theater to hearing the organ play before the event starts. There is no shortage of things to see no matter where you try to look. I would also like to compliment the staff who made me feel special and like I mattered while I was here. I would highly recommend this place if you would like the chance to experience an era from long ago. Out of all the things I heard and saw, probably my favorite was the glass ball chandelier, it is absolutely amazing and probably worth the ticket price just to see in person. This place is a national gem.
Such a magnificent building adorned with opulence. Each time I enter the theater, I am awestruck. There’s something to see no matter where I look. The statues lining the walls, the elephant over the stage and the ones on the carpet, the stained glass ball suspended from the ceiling are a feast for the eyes. I’ve been here many times, yet I still feel transported to a grander time. The old fashioned elevator with an attendant adds to the experience. I love everything about this theater. No other theater that I’ve been to has measured up. It’s a destination to see with the bonus of a great show.
I took my mother to see the Temptations and the Four Tops for a Mother's Day present. It was fantastic. We loved the music love and atmosphere. Riding in the elevator was awesome. The virtual tickets we're perfect. The usher for our section was so funny and accommodating. That was worth the investment to make a memory with my mom.
Love being a part of performances here. Not sure there is a bad seat! These pictures were taken from row E in the mezzanine
