A beautiful theater with a friendly staff! The snacks and drinks sold in the lobby were surprisingly good. Lots of places to sit in the lobby and upstairs while waiting for the doors to open. Bathrooms were nice and clean. The inside the theater is huge but the seats are well spaced so no matter where you are you can see!
Do the whole fam a favor and share in the magic of this vaudevillian legend! Impressive theater. Good location and places to eat close by. It turned out to be a very pleasant day trip. Will definitely keep an eye on upcoming events.
I've attended multiple shows at Playhouse Square but my experience at the Connor Palace was different. While I completely understand and respect shows that are "phone free", this event went overboard. Normally While the event is phone free, you can take pictures or use your phone before hand. I simply asked if I could take a picture (30+ minutes prior to the show). A red coat said No and when I replied oh okay. She said "take it up with Mr Mulaney" and went to get security. I do not believe this was called for at all. I also had a missed call from Playhouse Square but I didn't realize this. The following morning I realized that I had a voicemail stating no phones at the event. No paper tickets were supplied then paying customers were hounded to put away their phones while trying to use their phones to locate their seats. At least there was an option to prepay for parking that was very close and convenient. Although the instructions for parking wasn't clear. There was no attendant at the garage.
This is an absolutely beautiful theater, but other than that, it's a great place to see a live show. The staff is wonderful, the volunteers are fantastic & the experience is awesome. Sound is great from any seat as is the view. The seats are quite comfortable even if the rows are a tad close together. I would definitely go back for another show!
