Attending the Candlelight Experience was a largely positive experience. The Memorial feels like somewhere in Chicago or the lower east side of Manhattan . The staff were exceptional and the music was amazing. Particularly the set list was a great balance of new and old, East coast and West coast and Dirty South. The music choice was perfect . The tickets was a reasonably priced as a great value, and the view was good. The only drawback was how warm it is in the balcony. However, that is a minor inconvenience, compared to how amazing the overall experience turned out to be. Strongly recommend, five out of five stars.
We went to see a Candlelight concert at Memorial Hall OTR. The venue is absolutely gorgeous inside and out, the pick up/drop off area for services like Uber or Lyft is very convenient, and the account is in the building we're good. Highly recommend!
Beautifully ornate historic intimate concert setting in the building just to the south of Music Hall. Saw my daughter performing with the YPCC Choral group. Acoustics are, of course, amazing. Seating was old school hard fold-down seats in the floor area. Might be different in the balcony. They could use an update if someone is looking for a charitable cause to support. The rest of the building is well equipped and laid out as a venue for the leg-stretdhing concert-goer. There was a bar in one room with ample space for talking with friends. There are probably other features I missed due to my relatively short stay. Parking: I parked at the usual Music Hall parking garage ($5.50 for 12 hours!) at 1286 Central Ave, Cincinnati, OH Some others asked as I was walking in if there was a cheaper place to park as the lot near the building was charging $22.00 for x hours ( not 12). I happily directed them to the above-mentioned lot! Overall, a very pleasant concert experience!
Candlelight concerts are absolutely beautiful ! The musicians did such a great job at delivering the best ! But ATTENDEES , please DO NOT go to these concerts if your main goal is to be on your phone. It is so disrespectful to the performers and other guests! If you don’t know how to act respectfully, then this isn’t for you.
This was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had! As a former violinist, I found my fingers mimicking theirs and now I want to pick up my violin again and play! The venue was exceptional and intimate, our first time there and it was wonderful! This was my first Candlelight Concert, and my favorite movie no less, and it certainly won't be my last! String Source Cincinnati was excellent!
