My granddaughter had a wonderful Dance Recital here! Good sound and lighting, and hard working dancers made the evening great! I can't believe they managed to get 48 numbers in just 2 1/2 hours! All the Kids were really Amazing & Congrats to ALL on a fabulous job!! 🙋🎉🥳💕
Fantastic venue for your entertainment favorites. Not a bad seat in the house. Friends of Petty were wonderful. Thank you!
Beautiful and quaint venue! Saw Andy McKee and that was a 5-star+ performance. The only thing left to be desired was the restrooms and the self-disassembling soap dispensers. Otherwise would love to come back here to catch another performance or even a movie—didn’t realize the place was a movie theatre too. Oh, parking is tight on a Friday night so pray you find a spot either in town or the transit lot!
I really enjoyed returning to South Orange Performing Art Center (SOPAC). I attended an event called Blues in the Loft, with Debra Devi, Dean Shot, and Eric Heilner. In addition to the fantastic show, hosted by Blues great Mike Griot, the theater (Loft) was well suited for the performance. I had last visited 8 years ago when I lived in South Orange. I always love the art they have on exhibition. The staff was friendly, professional, and informative. Visit this place when you can. I look forward to my next show.
Never had heard of this place before but I saw James Hunter (outstanding soul singer/guitar player) there on September 23. It's extremely small, so every seat is a good seat. Very intimate theater. I think it used to be a movie theater and they turned it into a concert venue. The sound is pretty good but again, you're so close to the artist that it's unbelievable. Parking is free, too, which is a plus. The lobby is huge, so the artist can come out can come out and sell CD's and albums while signing autographs without the lobby feeling too crowded. Will definitely be back!
