Excellent evening. Parking was easy. Helpful ushers. Excellent bar offerings. Lighting and acoustics very good. Enthusiastic audience. Comfortable seats . We have tickets for two more shows in the series. Looking forward to it.
I went to see Bassett High School and Virginia Tech come together for a joint performance, and it was such a great experience. The sound in the room was excellent — clear and well-balanced — and the seating was arranged perfectly so everyone had a great view of the stage. It was an amazing night of music and collaboration. I’d definitely come back for another event like this!
Long time resident of Roanoke,VA and have been to the Jefferson Center twice this year for the first time. Saw Umphrey’s McGee and Marty Stuart, two completely different event experiences. Umphrey’s was a Gen Admin show and Marty was an assigned ticket seats. I sat in balcony for both shows. Sounds was great. View was great. Great intimate experience within the bounds of semi-smaller venues. Very spacious hallways and atrium. Staff was great. Definitely keeping an eye and ear out for shows in the future at Jefferson Center.
Beautiful theater! Welcoming staff. we went to see the Nutcracker and sat on the balcony level, which was great for my little girls as they had a clear view of the stage. Big downside on this trip was the lack of clarity on the parking situation. Nobody was directing cars and there are not enough spots in the designated theater lots. We ended up parallel parking a block away.
Saw Amos Lee in concert...it was a great concert. The venue was great but it was so hot during the performance!! Started out comfortable but was extremely hot by the end
