10/3/25 - My Daughter and I went to the Rock Orchestra at this Auditorium. It was very nice. The Rock Orchestra was amazing. The only thing I found wrong was when I bought the tickets it was misleading given the impression that bands like Metallica would be attending and that wasn't the case. But all in all, the employees at the event were helpful and it was a overall great experience.
The floor is slanted, so everyone behind us setting their drinks down would drop them and the liquids would just run down. They changed our tickets from the hillard center arena to the Selena Auditorium. Because we bought our tickets from stub hub we had to go to will call but there isn't a particular line so we had to guess which line was the one. It was just a scrambled mess. The show itself was great.
Good views but front row in balcony is very tight & could barely move my legs. Biggest issue was alcohol only being sold on the 1st floor & not on the balcony level so many stairs you had to go up & down just for some drinks.
The seating is tight, if sitting between people who have their legs spread out wide; felt like airplane seating. The A/C doesn't work. But the whole place was smoky. Sounds is pretty good. But the seating & A/C has turned me off-will second guess attending events.
Visited the auditorium last month to watch the Corpus Christi Symphony. This was an awesome venue, and well suited for a city of this size. Was easy to get in and out and the overall atmosphere commendable. Parking can be an issue however, especially on the bayside, so I'd recommend going in a little earlier for events.
