This was my first time at the Salem fair and I was NOT disappointed! This was a big fair with a lot of vendors, games, shows, rides, and food! 10 out of 10! The family & I went on the 4th of July, So we stayed for the fireworks also! I absolutely enjoyed myself! Also, The price was $27 for a all day wristband with unlimited rides.
It's an adequate facility for the concert we attended. The acoustics were not great, the seating was very cramped, too little space and very difficult to maneuver past others to rest rooms or refreshments. Being closely packed together made for an overly warm and uncomfortable evening. However, the 3 bands played well which made for a good overall experience. The facility staff was friendly and mostly efficient. Refreshments were pricey but good. The facility and bathrooms were clean.
Great place to catch a game. Even had a double rainbow for "Diversity night" Thirsty Thursday might be the best deal in town!
We saw the rodeo - overall it was fun. The parking is easy and adequate. There is no mistaking that this is a very old venue. The seats are extremely close left-right and front-back. The steps are steep, very challenging to navigate. We would go back under the right circumstances and seat availability.
We went to a concert for the first time here and it was miserable because the seating was so cramped and uncomfortable. I'd go as far as to say they shouldn't be selling tickets to events where you have to sit here. It's not just me being fussy; we heard multiple people saying the same things: how they couldn't even enjoy the show because they were so uncomfortable. I've wanted to see this performer for 15 years and this was my first chance, but I didn't enjoy the show because all I could think was, "please let this be over soon". We didn't even stay to the end. What a bummer. This place needs a major seating overhaul if they're going to host these types of events.
