Beautiful theater, easy entry, comfortable seats, clean. Parking is tricky and will have you lined up around the block just to enter the parking garage. Arrive earlier than you think you need to.
I love the Saban theatre. I attended a Greg Braden workshop. He was excellent. All the people greeting everyone as we walked in the door were kind and warm. The toughest part about the theater is parking until you know where to go. The parking garage is in the building next door to the right as you're facing the theater. For events it's $17 to park. Which is kind of expensive but it's much better than trying to find a spot nearby. There's a lot of construction going on around the theater. We had great food trucks for lunch though. The food was awesome and it's really nice to support the people who are operating the trucks and making the food on site. I've been to the theater twice and enjoyed both events that I've gone to.
A gem in a metropolitan area with many of them. You've probably seen it in TV shows like Glee. Its art deco decor is gorgeous, the seats are roomie and comfortable and I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. The lobby is spacious with choices for food and drink, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The stage is large and well-maintained. I will say that the lighting on stage is sometimes a bit harsh, cold, and sterile. Needs more warmth. Orange tones and cutting out blue would help a lot and be more flattering to performers and presenters. The sound is decent, though it gets echoey, which makes it hard to understand speakers from certain parts of the theater. Less reverb on people who are talking would help. The website says they show films there. I've never seen one in the space, but that would be cool.
There was plenty of parking around the theater, and it was easy to find a spot. The hall itself looks a bit old and needs renovation, especially the floor and handrail coverings. But the biggest downside was how unbearably stuffy and hot it was during the concert. By the end, it felt like you could almost faint on the balcony.
Went to see the Candlelight concert and it was a great experience. They played classical as well as pieces from films, Bach and The exorcist were my favorite. Beautiful place and it's very spacious. It was also my first time here 🙂
