We went for a sold out comedy show. The only issue was parking. Their lot was full. You'd think if you pay $100 per ticket they'd have enough parking places to accommodate their visitors, but I understand it's a tight space and that's not really anything they can do much about, so I'm not complainin, just reviewing to let others know. We were told by a security person blocking the lot entrance to just "park somewhere on the street" which is not a place easy to find and we ended up being blocks away and then running to try and get in on time, so I'd recommend getting there at least an hour early. 30 minutes early was not nearly enough time and we got in about 15 minutes late. But once we got in, everything was perfect. There were plenty of people to help us get in and thru security with no issues. Security made us feel safe. People helped us to find our seats, everyone was very polite, professional and helpful. We had plenty of room in our seats, facility was clean, everything (except the parking) was wonderful.
There's an underground parking garage right next door that's $10-15 to park. Before the show, we received an email with a map showing 4 other parking areas that are close and public. There are three tiers of seats and boxes on either side of the concert hall, each box has about 4 chairs in them. Each level has bathrooms on that level so you don't have to go downstairs to use the bathroom if youre in an upper tier. There was a lot of stairs, but an elevator inside the building to reach each tier. There was a concession stand with wine, beer, and soda available before the show, no food. The chairs are normal fold-down chairs, similar to a movie theater. The ushers were very helpful and willing to show you to your seat. The show we saw was an orchestral accompaniment of Star Wars, and it was fantastic. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
I was thoroughly impressed by Robinson Center. I've been to concerts and shows in Dallas, Nashville, New Orleans, Minneapolis and Saint Paul. But only in Little Rock did I encounter a completely organized event. From traffic to getting into the center and finding your seats. They had staff and signs everywhere. It's usually a free for all and organized chaos at events in a major downtown area, but not in Little Rock! I'll definitely go there again for any shows that interest me.
Went to see Mark Twain Tonight! with Richard Thomas, what a fantastic show! The Robinson Center is absolutely top-notch: beautifully maintained, spotless, and such a joy to experience. I’ve seen several of my favorite performances there over the years, and it never disappoints.
The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The theater itself is absolutely gorgeous. This venue can accommodate a small roster comprised of Arkansas symphony orchestra chamber music all the way up to a full ASO orchestra.! I've seen both large and small scale concerts, bands, solo artists, and theater productions. The Robinson center is truly a state-of-the-art theater that can accommodate any and every show you could imagine. It's truly a joy watching the arts in this beautiful venue.
