Saw Lorna Shore headline with Shadow of Intent, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Peeling Flesh at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium (RMA). The show itself was fantastic! Lorna Shore absolutely crushed it, and the energy from all the bands was awesome. Venue Experience & Accessibility Getting there was a hassle; we had to park far away and pay a lot, which wasn't ideal. However, the RMA staff were truly excellent. Since the main entrance is stairs-only, they immediately directed my party (I use a scooter) to a side area with an elevator. A slight issue upon entry: our premium balcony seats were not ADA accessible. The staff quickly and kindly moved us to the designated ADA section, which was right up front, stage right. While the view was great, it was extremely loud—to the point of being painful. All the deathcore bands eventually started to blend together sonically, which was a shame. Huge thanks to the kind person behind me who offered earplugs! 🙏 The biggest frustration was the restroom situation. They are either up or down a flight of stairs. If you have mobility issues, this means having to use the elevator just for a bathroom break, which is really annoying and inconvenient. Overall, the staff saved the day with their helpfulness, and the music was stellar. The RMA just needs to address its accessibility for seating and especially for restrooms to make it a truly great experience for everyone
We had our very first youth convention here, and I was beyond impressed! The staff went above and beyond to keep us safe and were always super helpful with anything we needed—thank you so much to all of them. I’m a little late on leaving this review, but this event was absolutely worth attending. On top of that, the area is beautiful both in the morning and at night—perfect for capturing some awesome pictures!
Best sounding show ive seen. Free seating, clean facilities. Made it worth the 2 hour traffic ride from LA. Plus such a beautiful area, and people from the church across the street were very friendly too.
Avatar was amazing! What a great venue! Can't wait to come back!
Always have a good time here. A good size venue with ample amount of parking around. Located in the downtown Riverside area, where you can make an evening of it, if you want to.
