The Pasadena Civic Auditorium stands as one of Southern California's premier performing arts venues, hosting an impressive range of cultural programming from classical concerts and theatrical productions to jazz performances and dance recitals. This grand auditorium has long served as a cultural cornerstone for the San Gabriel Valley, welcoming both touring productions and local ensembles to its distinguished stage. The venue's versatility makes it equally at home presenting intimate chamber music as it does large-scale musical theater.
Audiences can expect a refined concert hall experience with excellent acoustics that allow every note and spoken word to resonate clearly throughout the space. The auditorium's classic architecture creates an atmosphere of elegance and gravitas, perfectly suited to both the contemplative nature of a lecture series and the excitement of a live jazz performance. Comfortable seating ensures that patrons can fully immerse themselves in whatever artistic offering graces the stage.
Nestled in the heart of Pasadena, the Civic Auditorium sits within one of Los Angeles County's most charming and culturally rich cities. The surrounding area offers tree-lined streets, historic architecture, and a walkable downtown district filled with restaurants and cafes perfect for pre-show dining. Arriving for an evening performance feels like stepping into a more genteel era of American cultural life, with the San Gabriel Mountains providing a dramatic backdrop to this artistic oasis.

This auditorium is a perfect place to host a convention. The auditorium holds a lot of space for entertaining and for panels for everyone. The architecture is beautiful and I love the steps going up to the front of the building. The auditorium helped host Anime Pasadena and was a great place to host the panels. This helped to contribute to all anime fans great memories to cherish and to want to come back again. The cosplayers looked great on the steps and were able to show off their beautiful costumes and work of art with friends, family, and those who come to see their favorite anime characters. Vendors were in front of the auditorium and photographers capturing moments. There’s plenty of parking next to the center and across the street. It’s not too expensive and I feel it’s reasonable. There are shops and restaurants across the street and a nice view of old town Pasadena.
Wow! We went to America's Got Talent at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. It was great! Its a beautiful building inside and out.The seating is set up so no matter where you sit, you can see it all. Staff was very nice. We had a great time. Thanks Pasadena, thanks AGT!
Absolutely stunning theater! Went to watch a live recording of my favorite podcast MY Favorite Murder, for the first show had seats on the floor, right center and they were amazing seats!! We also went to the 2nd show and those seats were up in the balcony, also right center. That's the view in the pics. ***note to event planners *** if someone purchases tickets to both shows playing that night, you should have a priority line for them to get their tickets scanned so they don't have to walk all the way around the corner, down to the NEXT corner to get in line. Though I did meet my daily step goal for the day, perhaps it was a blessing. Amazing show, beautiful venue!
The Pasadena Civic Center has a great Orchestra and Loge/Balcony layout. I have had various orchestra seats and Loge seats that were fabulous. I have been to several "America's Got Talent" tapings where the stage lighting and effects are amazing. It holds about 3,000 people. There is parking across the street in Paseo Colorado for $12 (less if you get validated by a shop or restaurant).
We went to see America's Got Talent here. Its a beautiful historical Auditorium with a vintage touch. Parking was a breeze and location was ideal.
