The Orpheum is the most beautiful theater in the valley. Not only gorgeous but the acoustics are amazing! We have seen several shows here and it never cease to amaze. Red velvet seats, gold reliefs, hand painted murals and a gorgeous light show on the ceiling while you wait for your performance (clouds, shooting stars, moon phases, sunsets.) 100 years old, well preserved and beautiful. A real Phoenix gem!
Absolutely beautiful. The staff is really nice and helpful. The theatre is a great place to take pictures!
Went to the Orpheum to see Sarah Millican the English Comedian. This venue is the perfect setting for her show. The seats are comfortable and are staggered so you can see between the patrons sitting in front of you. The acoustics are good here as well. The beautiful gilding architectural features are gleaming and perfectly restored. This is a terrific place to see a performance
Beautiful Venue! A classic and [supposedly] haunted, The Orpheum has an array of shows coming through there all the time. It's a more intimate theater, not small but, not huge comparatively. Plus, it's definitely easier to get to than a lot of venues downtown. Do love coming here for shows. (and the "live" ceiling with sky and clouds. Pretty magical)
Incredible hour and a half long tour of the historic Orpheum theater given by knowledgeable and friendly volunteers on Tuesday afternoons. They take you through the lobby, auditorium, balcony, backstage, and stage areas, all while explaining the history and inner workings of the theater and it's unique decor. A beautiful sight to behold and interesting to explore behind the scenes. Our group even had the pleasure of hearing the theater organ in action. This tour is free, wheelchair accommodating, and definitely worth attending when you have the time. RSVP online and give yourself extra time to find parking nearby!
