The Orpheum is a Memphis treasure! The theater is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful decor and a wonderfully friendly staff to assist guests to their seats. The Broadway club was lovely and my wife and I enjoyed the view of Beale Street while sipping our pre show drinks. We went to see the production of A Beautiful Noise. It was fantastic. Box seats and Neil Diamond songs. What a great evening.
I have visited the Orpheum for many events; plays, comedy shows and concerts. I find the pricing for the venue to be fair. The parking mostly accessible for those with walking impairments and the views pretty good for most places within the theater however there’s not much legroom if you’re over 5‘7 anywhere in the theater, unless you’re seated in a box in the lower balcony in the upper balcony leg room is horrible and so is the sound. This can be offset by renting available hearing devices from the coat room near the one elevator on the first floor concessions are also ridiculously high as they are in most places. Overall, a great experience and one of my favorite venues in the city. Just choose your seat carefully if you’re tall.
History Still Being Made, in the Present! Great venue ! Since some updating, place is more comfortable than it has ever been. Beautiful spot to have young adults take a part in - one of the best decisions that the district has made for its children. Orpheum rocks on ❤️
This "classic" theater is an absolute gem in downtown Memphis. It's a little island of art and culture in an area that's lost a lot of its appeal over the years. Pro tip: it's worth buying upgraded tickets to stay in the first or second levels. The 3 level is quite high & makes it hard to see the stage. Also keep your cups if you order alcoholic drinks. "Refills" cost less and you can reuse them in future occasions.
Absolutely beautiful theater inside. Volunteer ushers were friendly, outstanding, and helpful. Sound and eyelines were great.
