We held our 180-person wedding (ceremony + cocktail hour + reception) at the Orpheum in October 2025, and had an amazing experience! We worked with Izzy extensively during the planning process, and she really helped our vision come to life. We did a bit of a non-traditional wedding ceremony, which included timed lighting accents and curtain raises/lowers, which really added to the dramatic vibe that we were going for. Basically, we had an idea, and Izzy (+ the rest of the Orpheum staff day-of) basically said “Let’s see how to make that happen”, and it all came together SO well. Our contract with the Orpheum included staffing for the stage/security/bars and a room flip (between ceremony and reception). They also worked directly with a rental partner to handle anything else we might need and not having to add another vendor to chase down (eg, dancefloor flooring, podiums, red carpet, etc.). We didn’t even have to do a ton of decor, since the venue is already so ornate! If you’re looking for an all-in-one, non-traditional wedding venue (or, just venue in general), we highly recommend the Orpheum, Izzy, and their team!
Been to the Orpheum for several shows. I have always found it to be a positive experience. Getting through security was easy, and quick. The lobby can get a little busy and crowded (nothing new there). If you are planning to buy alcohol, you get your wrist strap ahead of time. There's a place to get merchandise, and that can get a bit congested. Plenty of folks to help you get to your seats. For this show we were front row balcony (which I feel is the best spot in the entire place). The seats are a little dated, narrow, and might benefit from being restuffed. The acoustics were good, but not great but certainly better than most large venues (i.e. Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee). I would definitely come again.
The seating was pretty comfortable and the view was great from the balcony. A parking garage with really close access is nearby, and lots of restaurant options on the same street.
My husband and I had our wedding at the Orpheum and it was AMAZING. Clean, organized, and friendly staff. We got everything we hoped for and more!
Not a pleasant venue for older people. Not ADA compliant in the least! I guess it's a historical building and exempt. I think that's wrong. There are no hand railings in the steep balcony on the any of the stairs. No substantial guard rails from the balcony edge to the main level. An easy trip and oops you're dead. One multi use bath room on the main level. The others are either up stairs or down stairs. If you have any problems with stairs avoid this place.
