Very nice. Just have to take time to experience a show to know if you will like a theater production. Being an older bldg, the seats are small, you will be rubbing shoulders with the next person if you have a bigger figure or are naturally tall, room between rows is narrow. Suggest isle seats might be best. Otherwise, was a great place, easy to get to and around in side. There is a balcony and can view the interior on the website if needing too.
Saw 39 steps here with a friend while visiting downtown Indianapolis. The show was wonderful. The cast was great and it was such a funny and entertaining show. I was sure what to expect when I bought the tickets but it had good reviews. Highly recommend for a fun evening out. And the bar staff is the most efficient team I have ever seen at a show. They know how to move a line swiftly and with smiles.
Beautiful theater! I imagine there is not a bad seat in the house. We enjoyed the show and had very good seats in the balcony. The ticket prices were fair. The facility, staff, and atmosphere were great. The special drinks were good, and the DeBrand Fine Chocolates were delicious.
I recently walked into the IRT and was floored by the nostalgia of the building and the wonderful setting that hosts the productions of this season’s shows. If you are a theatergoer visit the Indiana repertory theater on Washington Street in Indianapolis you will not regret it. The staff is amazing. The bar is fully stocked and the shows are captivating. Everyone is welcome and they especially cater to the younger theatergoer with morning showtimes and my favorite, matinees!
They always put on a great show. It's a small theatre but that makes it feel personal, intimate, and you get to see the show very well. I have loved every play I've ever gone to there! Talented and creative members!
