Move over, Broadway! I won't miss you like I did when I first moved to Beverly from New Jersey. There's a real professional theater right here in Beverly: the North Shore Music Theatre, and it's absolutely wonderful. I just saw the famous musical "Grease", and it was incredible. I was so impressed with the round stage—I'd only seen one like that in a circus before. The actors used the aisles between the viewers' seats to get on and off the stage, and Danny's car even drove right past me! This made the audience feel like they were right there in 1950s Chicago. The young actors truly seemed to enjoy their characters. The male actors looked so cool with their greased hair and cuffed pants, while the young women were stunning in their colorful, swing dresses with their signature full skirts. They all moved with the energy and style of the '50s. Their dancing was fantastic—you could tell they were fully committed to the fast-paced, energetic choreography. And their singing! The songs were performed with so much passion and were so wonderfully harmonious. What was especially impressive was how the stage transformed so quickly. While there weren't many large props like in a classic version, the set pieces were used magically to transform the scene from a classroom to a dance floor in a matter of seconds. The theater's campus was also impressive, with several cafés and plenty of beautiful benches to wait comfortably for shows. There were lots of flowers and trees all around. I really enjoyed the show and was very impressed by the theater. I want to extend a huge thank you to the North Shore Music Theatre management and personally to Karen, Chief Operating Officer for their kind invitation of the residents of Beverly Village for Living and the Arts. We were also treated to delicious complimentary snacks and drinks in the gorgeous VIP room before the show, a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. This generous hospitality was a wonderful touch. Our generation includes many avid theater fans, and it was a true pleasure to have the opportunity to attend such a magnificent show. It's wonderful to see the theater fostering such a strong relationship with the local community. Thank you for this beautiful night out and for your wonderful support of the arts.
I’ve been to several shows at North Shore Music Theatre, and every one has been outstanding. The staff is always friendly and helpful, making it easy to find your seat and enjoy the experience. The unique circular seating ensures a great view from every angle, and the concession stand offers a selection of snacks, wine, and beer. Parking is well organized with staff guiding the way. Overall, every visit here has been seamless, enjoyable, and full of incredible performances!
I went to watch Waitress. This was the first time i have ever been to a round stage theatre. The show was incredible with professional actors, the venue was beautiful and although I originally thought the price of the drink was a bit high, it was actually quite strong! 😅 If im in the area, I'll definitely be back for another show!
The circle theater is great. There are no bad seats. The cast was also great. I will definitely be returning. This was a great experience. I highly recommend.
Great performance of Cher Musical. Seating is comfortable. Seating is in the round. First negative is not enough ladies rooms. Second negative here is the parking that results in a nightmare getting out of the parking lot. So unless you are lucky enough to park in the front, don't expect to get out in less than 20 minutes.
