This was the 2nd time my wife, myself and friends attended a concert at the Narrows. We enjoyed both events. The atmosphere is wonderful allowing all attendees to feel close to the performers. The acoustics are great.
An entertainment jewel in, of all places, Fall River. And considering that I'm from New Bedford, that is saying something. We have had the distinct pleasure of seeing Rhiannon Giddens there twice in the past. Most recently we saw a wonderful performance by Tuba Skinny, a great New Orleans jazz ensemble. As for the venue, there is only so much you can squeeze out of a hundred year old factory, but the Narrows has done a great job in that regard. The performance hall is intimate, acoustics and amplification are very good. There is table seating at the stage, with floor seating and finally raised seating behind. The design does well to minimize obstructed-view seating. While they have limited drinks and snacks for sale, you are free to bring your own, in a cooler if you wish. Get on their mailing list to be kept informed of their entertainment offerings.
Narrow Center For The Arts Fall River Ma Saturday , I was removed from the Little Theatre of Fall River under the claim that I was “disturbing the peace” — at a BYOB Narrow Center For The Arts Fall River Ma Last night, I was removed from the Little Theatre of Fall River under the claim that I was “disturbing the peace” — at a BYOB event, for simply bringing a bottle. Let’s be clear: I arrived respectfully, brought flowers and gifts for the cast, purchased a raffle ticket, and even gave up my seat so others could sit. Not one person around me complained.
I was there for Jesse Cook’s concert. Narrow Center for the Arts was a proper place for this matter. Free parking, elevator and a clean restroom is available. The sound system was awesome. Round tables near the stage was a great concept. People brought some food and drink but if you want to be able to sit there you must attend there soon.
This venue offers a fantastic atmosphere, and the sound quality is impressive. Soft drinks and light snacks are conveniently available for guests. While alcohol is not sold on-site, bringing your own beverages (BYOB) is permitted, which adds a nice personal touch to the experience.
