It has a nice little snack room where you can get drinks and snacks and it's separate from the lobby area where a lot of theaters have a whole crowd of people on lines looking to buy drinks and snacks before and during intermission but this room is on a separate level with bathrooms and it's a nice view with windows. There's no parking lot but it's on the street. You have to pay the meter which is 50 cents per hour and after 6pm it's free.
I was very impressed by the theater! They have a nice lounge area and fair pricing. The theater was restored to it's initial glory and is beautiful. I would definitely recommend and will return.
We saw a really great show of 3 groups performing oldies and doo wop music from the 50s and 60s. The theater was beautiful. Not a bad seat in the house
The Genesee Theatre is a beautifully restored classic. Large enough for concerts and performance, but small enough that shows there retain an intimate feel. The parking garage less then a block away is clean and very reasonably priced at $10.
What a great venue. Acoustics were awesome. Built in 1927 and refurbished to its grand opulence.
