It's beautiful on the outside and very clean on the inside. Looks a little dated. The very small bathroom I used was very clean, however it needs to be updated. I don't know how many times you can paint over brick, but I think I would look nicer if they just updated it a little bit. It was nice for a graduation ceremony. For myself being from out of town, parking is a problem and it's not very easy for older people to navigate. I refer to my inlaws. They're in their 70's and have walking canes, not wheelchairs. Maybe if a shuttle service was available for people like them it would have been more enjoyable instead of trying to find ways to pick them up with out a very long wait.
Very nice place. People were so friendly, Elvis and his band put on a great show!
We saw John Mellencamp at Emens auditorium. It was very clean the staff was helpful and they had everything organized so that we didn’t stand in line too long at all. The major concern was the congested traffic at the intersection of Riverside and McKinley Ave. Parking can be an issue now as well since the parking garage behind Emens is gone. We found a spot at the Cooper Science building and walked to the event to avoid the traffic jam. The show was great and we will definitely go back in the future. Just be prepared for limited parking spaces.
Gorgeous (and huge) auditorium central to Ball State University! This big hall offers hundreds of seats and is perfect for a large audience. Given its size, it’s more suitable for popular music concerts or anything well amplified in sound. Obviously not the most “intimate” setting for smaller chamber music presentations but nonetheless a very spacious and comfortable venue that fits so many people.
Muncie's premier event auditorium. Every season is a new offering of performances. It's the perfect size venue, large enough to attract national talent, small enough every seat is close. It is open for community groups to rent. Concessions were very reasonable by all standards. Sound and lighting are first rate. Temperature was a tad warm for my tastes. Plenty of restrooms. Parking is a one to two block walk. It's a great asset for a college town. Staff are friendly. Better to purchase from the box office and avoid the ticketmaster fees. Best to purchase tickets in advance.
